Communication
Policy
We are committed to the promotion of two-way open and honest communication, within the limits of business and commercial sensitivities, throughout the company with all employees.
We will communicate effectively with employees on all relevant issues, including business performance and changes that may affect you personally.
It is our objective to ensure effective and efficient information transfer across the entire organisation, to enhance our ability to provide exceptional service to our customers. This is achieved by everyone taking ownership and responsibility for regularly communicating relevant information throughout the company. Continuous feedback is encouraged.
• We aim to provide easy access to leaders at all levels throughout the business through our ‘Open Door’ policy. Typically our leaders do not sit within the confines of an office and are therefore available for you to approach at any time. Should you require a confidential meeting a time and place will be arranged.
• Employees are actively encouraged to access the latest corporate information and news via the AESSEAL® Intranet, which is available company-wide from the IT network.
• Notice boards will be regularly kept up to date with topical and relevant information as part of our day-to-day operations.
• Each department (or group of departments) will hold regular Team Briefings based on the information issued by Head Office, as detailed in the QuEST Management System (Group procedures GP25).
• A review to measure the effectiveness of communication using tools which includes an annual Employee Satisfaction Survey will provide quantifiable information on our progress and areas of focus. The results will be communicated to all employees and actions will be undertaken as a result of the feedback.
• Annual appraisals are an opportunity to give feedback on how the policy is working or could be improved and also a time to agree personal objectives that are linked to the strategy as per the quarterly communications above.
